over the Peep Toad Pond north we find a small burial lot, yard in fine order protected by granite posts and
iron rails.
On opposite side of road from the Harley Luther farm in open lot is a tomb. It was built by Nathan Mowry. At
one time it was quite full but we understand they have all been taken out and buried elsewhere - the tomb
however is in good condition.

on north of Plainfield Pike on top of hill east of Richmond and back in lot in meadow, not protected, yard
clear of brush.
On a farm bought by Joseph Knight Grandfather of Col Joseph Knight. In 1741 he gave the farm to his son
Jonathan. Jonathan gave it to his sons Joseph, Jonathan & Robert by deed 5 May 1788. Col Joseph gave his
share by Will to his son Angell, who in turn gave it to his sons Robert & Richmond. Richmond gave it to his
son Joseph. Joseph gave it to his son Ezra. This land is now on the land condemned by the city of Providence
as surrounding the reservoir.
420 feet north of the junction with Plainfiled Pike and 100 feet west of Tunk Hill Road. This cemetery is
about 300 feet north of SC060. The sign for SC059 is on the ground in this lot with several downed trees.

reservoir. He described it as: At Rockland between the power station of the trolly line and the road are
several lots.

common balanced wall, the yard contains six graves only one is marked by a ledge stone and reads:

large grave. If there be others buried here the mounds have 10 disappered as to leave no mark.
Mr. Cyrus Walker says that the Archibald Walkers are buried here.
West of here a short distance is a solitary grave where, as we are told, a colored man was buried. None of
these have inscribed stones.

Becket took it down, the lot is densely covered with brush. As near as we could make out there are four large
graves in line and three small at the feet. If there be others the dense cover hid them from our view. We are
told that the Charles Mathewson family are buried here, none have inscribed stones.

[now under the reservoir] there was once a burial yard of the Abel Angell family and allies. This burial lot
contained at one time about 25 graves but after the farm was sold the stones which were field markers were
taken up and the ground plowed over so that the exact spot now is unknown. The family started a new one near
the present Episcopal Chapel which is at present in behind [SC137], though yard is very much neglected.

NOTE: James Arnold visited this lot 29 Aug 1904 (Vol 2, Pg 222) On the A King place a distance from the house north
westerly and back of the old orchard 3 graves with rude stones. We are told that these are Mr. Brooks and wife
and a servant. Brooks was a noted character of his day in so much he seemed to have plenty of money for his
own use and yet he toiled not. He was found beside the road with his neck broken and dead. His horse came home
without him. A search resulted as above said. How the accident happened will never be known. It is said he
came from Providence here and he was still mouthed as to his past life.
